As part of expanding the reach of our messages to our target audiences and supporting SNAP-Ed grantees in working to instill healthy eating habits in youth, we developed a series of posters for placement through K-8 schools and for use in tabling at public events. A secondary objective was to tap into the role of youth as a messenger for parents and family members. In addition to distributing these posters in high-traffic areas of schools, we also prepared a variety of swag materials including water bottles, reusable insulated lunch totes, and stickers. To promote engagement with these posters, we used bright, colorful graphics, straightforward messaging, a clear call to action, and a QR code to promote visits to the campaign landing page, everybitecounts.alaska.gov.
